William Kelly grew up in an Asian-American household. His mother is from Cebu, a small part of the Philippines, while his father was born here in the United States. At home, he speaks binisaya, one of the many languages spoken in the Philippines. Ever since the age of 14, he has actively been involved in the community. He joined the environmental club junior year which has taught him to do everything he can for his surroundings. This year, he became a part of the Youth Advisory Board, a group connected to congress. For the past 6 months, he’s dedicated his mind, body, and soul along with blood, sweat, and tears to the city of Kent. To him, serving Kent is more than just a job – it’s a way of life.
